  • Mile High Adventures - Indoor Climbing Facility in Lindsay - 40 minutes drive - features a 26 ft climbing wall, 4 other vertical climbs, high ropes element, bouldering wall, outdoor low ropes course. Can arrange times from groups or they have an open climb at $10/person - for ages 7 and up.
  • Jungle Cat World Wildlife Park - Orono - 45 minute drive - this park features a zoo open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., along with wildlife night Safari which must be booked in advance.
  • Peterborough Speedway - Peterborough - Car races every Saturday
  • Peterborough zoo and playground - This is an excellent place to take young children for free. They have an extensive playground and a great variety of animals. There is also a mini train that runs daily from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on the south side of the zoo - this does cost $2 per person 3 yrs and up. Don't forget to take your money when you park the car - it is a bit of a walk.
